Dadu district in Sindh has the highest peak of hill in Sindh at Dublai having height of 7,122 feet above the sea level, Dadu district has the largest man-made lake in South Asia, Dadu district is the only district of Sindh having 28 rain fed nais out of 48 within the province.
Drinking water in remote villages is the biggest dilemma for the poor villager who depends on the rain water which is collected in ponds and used for drinking by men and animals, they do not have resources to dig a well, and therefore HF initiated 14 schemes in villages to improve the living and health of villagers. 7 schemes are funded by World Federation and 7 schemes are funded by IDRF, the wells will be completed by July-2010. |
